As winter continues, so does our progress on the new motel in Fish Creek. Its an exciting winter so far as they have torn down the motel and now have started the rebuilding process. With a huge process like this, nothing ever goes as fast as you want it to and it becomes a lesson in patience.

After the building was taken down, we had battles with lots and lots of rain. We have sump pumps running constantly to get the water out of the basement.

We finally have colder weather and the ground has frozen. This is good news for the progress and they don’t have to fight the rain.

Its exciting to see the progress being made. We can start to visualize what things will look like.

Shane and I are busy researching HVAC units, TVs and fridges. We have two local Door County furniture builders working on furniture for the rooms. We are super excited to see how things will turn out. Come back soon to see another update on the new motel.
